Total energy expenditure estimate
Your Multi-Trainer 3 uses your personal information (such as your height, weight, gender, and age,) your heart rate throughout the day, and your activity level to estimate how many calories you burn each day. The Total Energy Expenditure estimate accumulates caloric burned throughout the day; in the example above, 1,298 Cals were burned up until 1:30 PM. As the day continues, more calories will accumulate.

The Total Energy Expenditure estimate analyzes your caloric burn based off daily activity levels.
- Your Total Energy Expenditure is the total sum of adding the calories burned from each analysis.
- When you’re inactive or sitting down, the calories you burn are categorized as “Low Activity”.
- When you’re walking briskly or more active, the calories you burn are categorized as “High Activity”.
- When you’re logging a workout session, the calories you burn are categorized as Workout.
Because the smartphone app uses additional data sources, the number displayed in the app may not exactly match the number on the watch.
